Beneficiary organizations we support
At CLEAN-TEC, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us.
We proudly stand behind organizations that make a lasting impact, including Project K-9 Hero and the Fallen Officers Association. By supporting these dedicated groups, we honor the heroes who protect and serve, both human and canine, and help strengthen the communities we’re proud to be part of.

Project K9 Hero
Our Mission
To serve those who protected our families, our communities, and our America.
Our vision
At Project K-9 Hero, our vision is to honor the unwavering dedication of retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs by creating a global environment that celebrates their heroic service. We strive to reshape perceptions, ensuring these valiant animals are revered and respected for their loyalty. Through our efforts, we aim to provide these remarkable companions with the dignified post-service life they rightfully deserve, offering access to comprehensive healthcare and advocating for a quality way of life in recognition of their selfless contributions.
Our purpose
To ensure the best quality of life for our nation’s retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs by providing assistance with medical costs, prescription food, rehabilitation, rehoming, and end-of-duty services.
To educate the public, government agencies, and elected officials on the costs and responsibilities of owning a retired K-9 Hero.
To provide a safe haven at our 177-acre Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility for retired K-9 Heroes to live when they no longer have a home or an owner that can meet their specialized needs.

Fallen Officers Foundation
Why we started
Captain Robert Jones of the UCSC Police Department was riding his new road bike on Hwy 1 when he was struck by an SUV driven by a young teenager who was driving while distracted.
Not expected to survive, Robert remained in a coma for three months. He finally regained consciousness, and his wife brought him home to provide 24-hour care.
Robert was a “Man’s Man”—athletic, MVP of his football team, black belt in martial arts, and avid surfer. He was not a quitter, and neither was his wife. It was because of Robert that a group of his friends in law enforcement and fire service put together what is now the Fallen Officer Foundation. They raised funds for the necessary vehicle and for his 24-hour care. Robert made progress slowly and against all odds.
During the summer of 2006, Robert began having seizures, which destroyed most of the progress made. A wheelchair challenge was organized for Robert to increase awareness of the Fallen Officer Foundation. He was pushed in his wheelchair night and day to San Luis Obispo, raising over $12,000.
Shortly after this event, Robert’s health took a turn for the worse. He died at home with his wife by his side on March 13, 2007. His ashes have been spread over his favorite surfing spots.
We share Robert’s story because it touched all of us to become involved in the Fallen Officer Foundation. There have been many other faces of fallen first responders and their families that keep all of us working. A few years later, we began working with Central Firefighter John Tripodi, who contracted lung cancer from chemical exposure as a firefighter. John, his wife, and his teenage son displayed wonderful, courageous attitudes. John served on our Board until he lost his battle with cancer.
Since the foundation’s formation, we have been honored to assist a large number of local first responders in times of crisis or special need. This has been made possible through strong community support.
